Yes. If your family tradition puts the Sangam first, the circuit can run Prayagraj → Kashi → Gaya instead. Say so when you enquire, with the city you are coming from.

Kashi Yatra: Prayagraj, Kashi and Gaya, planned hour by hour

Kashi Yatra is the pilgrimage to Kashi (Varanasi) that the South Indian tradition completes with two more tirthas: a bath and Ganga water at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, and pind daan for the ancestors at Gaya. From Varanasi the three-city circuit takes four days, with a pandit arranged at every site, from ₹12,499 per person on twin sharing.

The traditional order

As it is kept in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Kashi Yatra begins and ends at Rameswaram:

Rameswaram: Take the sankalpa, bathe at Agni Theertham and collect sand to carry north.
Prayagraj: Bathe at the Triveni Sangam, immerse the Rameswaram sand and collect Ganga water.
Kashi: Ganga snan, and darshan of Kashi Vishwanath, Annapurna and Kaal Bhairav, the kotwal of Kashi.
Gaya: Pind daan for the ancestors at Vishnupad and the Falgu.
Rameswaram: Abhishekam of Ramanathaswamy with the Ganga water you carried completes the yatra.

Families keep slightly different orders — follow your own priest. Our four-day circuit runs Kashi → Gaya → Prayagraj because it ends at Prayagraj, where you can fly or take a train home. If your tradition needs the Sangam first, ask us to run it the other way round.

What is arranged for the rituals

A pandit at each of the three sites — Pishach Mochan in Kashi, the Falgu ghat in Gaya and the Triveni Sangam — arranged before you arrive.
The ritual windows are fixed, usually early morning, so the itinerary is built backwards from them: pind daan on the Falgu at 05:30, at the Sangam at 06:30.
Dakshina to the pandits and ritual materials (samagri) are not in the package price — you pay them directly at the ghat.
Kashi Vishwanath darshan slots (Sugam, Sparsh) are booked by you on the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust website. General darshan is free.

Coming from Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai or Pune

A guide who speaks Tamil, Kannada, Marathi or Hindi can be arranged for the yatra — ask when you enquire.
The package starts where you land. We meet you at Varanasi airport or railway station, and the AC vehicle stays with you until the drop at Prayagraj.
IRCTC's Bharat Gaurav pilgrim trains, some with a state subsidy, are good value if their departure dates suit you. A private package is for families who want their own dates, their own vehicle and unhurried time at each ritual.
Book your flight or train into Varanasi for the first morning. The circuit ends at Prayagraj at about 12:30 on day four, in time for a departure the same evening.

Travelling with elders

No vehicle of any size reaches Kashi Vishwanath. The nearest drop is Godowlia crossing, about a ten-minute walk through the lanes.
The longest day is Gaya to Prayagraj — about seven hours on the road after the morning ritual. Tell us the ages in your group when you enquire, so the day plan allows for them.

When to go

October to March is the comfortable season, and searches for Kashi Yatra peak in November, December and January.
Dev Deepawali falls on Tuesday, 24 November 2026. Kashi is at its most beautiful and its most crowded, and hotels near the ghats fill weeks ahead.
Pitru Paksha, in September–October, is the busiest fortnight at Gaya. Book the pandits and rooms early.
