- What does a Varanasi tour package cost?
- Our packages run from ₹1,999 per person for a single sunrise-boat morning to ₹24,999 for the seven-day Buddhist circuit. The most-booked is Kashi Darshan at ₹3,999 per person for one night and two days, including hotel, transfers and a sunrise boat. All prices are twin sharing and exclude GST and temple fees.
- Is Kashi Vishwanath darshan included in the package?
- The transport and the timing are. The darshan itself is not — Sugam Darshan, Sparsh Darshan and the aartis are booked by you on the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust's own portal at the temple's prices. Tell us the slot time you hold and we build the day around it. General darshan is free but the queue runs three to six hours on weekends and festival days.
- How many days do I need in Varanasi?
- Two days covers Kashi Vishwanath, the Ganga aarti, a sunrise boat and Sarnath if the hours are used properly. Three days adds an unhurried morning walking the old city, which is what most people say afterwards was the best part. Fewer than two days means choosing between the temple and the river.
- When is Dev Deepawali 2026?
- Tuesday 24 November 2026, on Kartik Purnima. Lamps are lit across the ghat front at dusk, around 17:15, and the ghats stay lit for two to three hours. We run a 2-day package at ₹11,999 and a 3-day at ₹16,999 per person. Book by early October — vehicles and ghat-side hotels commit six to eight weeks ahead.
- Can a vehicle reach the ghats on Dev Deepawali night?
- No. The ghat approaches are closed to vehicles and barricaded from the afternoon of the festival. Realistic drop points sit well back and the last 20 to 40 minutes are on foot in a crowd. Any operator promising a drop at Dashashwamedh that night is not telling you the truth.
- Are your prices per person or per group?
- Per person, on twin-sharing accommodation. Solo travellers pay a single-occupancy supplement on the hotel portion. Larger groups get a lower per-person rate because the vehicle cost splits further — send us your group size for an exact figure.
- What is not included in a package price?
- GST, temple fees and darshan slots, lunch and dinner, monument entry, the Dev Deepawali evening boat, personal expenses, and anything the package page does not list under Includes. We list exclusions explicitly on every package rather than burying them.
- Do I need a visa or ID for the Lumbini leg?
- Every passenger needs photo ID at the Sunauli crossing, including children. Indian nationals do not need a visa for Nepal; other nationalities should check their own requirements. A party short one document gets turned back, which ends the Lumbini leg — this is the single most common way that itinerary goes wrong.
- Can you customise an itinerary?
- Yes. Every package here is a starting point, and most bookings shift something — an extra night, a different temple, a slot time we plan around. Send the dates, group size and what you want changed, and we will re-cost it.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Two to three weeks for ordinary dates. Six to eight weeks for Dev Deepawali, the wedding season, and festival weekends at Ayodhya or Prayagraj — hotels on the ghat side go first, then the larger vehicles.
